Site is OK? — how we handle your data
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this service is Lindeas Ltd., reachable at https://lindeas.com.
For privacy requests and legal notices write to contact@siteisok.com; for product support write to support@siteisok.com.
What we collect
Anonymous use (no account):
- The domain names you submit for scanning and the resulting check results.
- Your IP address, stored with each scan job and used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- A CAPTCHA challenge answer held only in your session while it is valid — it is not stored permanently.
Registered accounts:
- Email address and a salted password hash (we never store plain-text passwords).
- Display preferences (timezone, locale, date and time format) and an optional notification email override.
- The domains you save, their check results, uptime history, and change history.
- Your subscription tier, its expiration, and billing history references.
Payments: purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record (payment provider) shown at checkout. They collect and process your payment details; we receive only the subscription status and billing references — never your card number.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie required for sign-in, security tokens (CSRF), and CAPTCHA. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use the data
- To provide the service: run scans, show and store results, monitor saved domains.
- To send transactional email you asked for or that the service requires: address verification, password resets, downtime/expiration alerts, weekly reports (Business plan), and billing confirmations.
- To keep the service secure and fair: rate limiting, CAPTCHA checks, abuse prevention.
Legal bases: performance of the service you use (contract), our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, and legal obligations where applicable.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not share your saved domains or results with other users.
- We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Sharing and processors
- Payment provider (Merchant of Record) — handles checkout, invoicing, taxes, and refunds. Their own privacy policy applies to the payment flow.
- Email delivery — transactional messages are sent through our mail infrastructure/provider; only the address and message content are shared.
- Scan results — standard scan results may be cached briefly and shown to anyone who scans the same domain, since they describe public infrastructure. Scans you run are not attributed to you publicly.
We may disclose data if legally required (court order, lawful authority request).
Data retention
- Account data is kept while your account exists.
- Check and uptime history for saved domains is kept while the domain stays in your list.
- Scan job records (including the submitter IP) are kept for a limited time needed for operation and abuse investigation, then purged.
- Deleting your account removes your saved domains, history, and personal data, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (e.g., invoices issued by the payment provider).
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict processing. Account settings let you update your email, notification address, and display preferences yourself; for anything else write to contact@siteisok.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service: hashed passwords, TLS-encrypted connections, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and restricted access to production systems. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated policy.
